The COWTOWN T's were organized in 1984 to bring together owners of, and folks just interested in, the Ford Model T, manufactured from 1909 to 1927. Presently there are over 40 families in our Club, representing 50 or more Model T's. Business/Dinner meetings are held every month, usually on the last Thursday of the month. Exceptions may be made, and the meeting held a different day of the month, because of holidays or other events and/or activities of interest to the members. Members are kept current on Club activities and other related events of interest by the monthly Club newsletter.
In addition to monthly meetings, our Club participates in numerous activities throughout the year.
The COWTOWN T's are affiliated with both national Model T organizations, The Model T Ford Club of America (MTFCA) and The Model T Ford Club International (MTFCI). Both are excellent organizations, publishing interesting information about Model T's and the Model T era through their bi-monthly magazines. National membership is not required for local membership, but we encourage membership in the National clubs. Another advantage of national membership is [umbrella] insurance for our Club activities. Through the Model T Ford Club of America we receive insurance coverage if the majority of our club membership are also members of that organization.
We welcome new members and encourage questions on buying, fixing, finding parts, driving, tailoring, events, etc. Membership in the Club or participation in Club events does not require owning a driveable Model T Ford.
